Watershed Management Training

PACOS Trust

PACOS Trust is a community-based organisation dedicated to supporting indigenous communities in Sabah. The organisation strives to empower indigenous communities through systematic building and strengthening of community organisations, which can act collectively on its own. They also support networking among organisations struggling to assert rights over community resources and revitalising indigenous systems.

TONIBUNG

TObpinai NIngkokoton koBUruon kampuNG (Friends of Village Development) is an indigenous-lead organisation that develops sustainable alternatives for rural electrification while advocating for native rights and supporting local entrepreneurship and innovation around Southeast Asia.

Green Empowerment

Green Empowerment works with rural communities and partners around the world to improve access to affordable and renewable energy, safe drinking water, sanitation systems, fuel efficient cook stoves and more. With GE support, systems are designed, constructed and maintained by the communities that benefit from them to ensure long-term economic and environmental sustainability.

Watershed Management Training

Training modules in this category will focus on conveying strategies and protocols for sustainable community-based watershed management and monitoring.  The initial focus will be on creating a bottom up approach towards identifying and monitoring the conservation value of watersheds in micro-hydro system related areas over time, but will eventually incorporate advanced mapping tools.
